Frequently asked questions
What counts as a retention event?
One retention event = one call Apple makes to your RetainKit runtime endpoint when a subscriber taps "Cancel" in-app. Each attempt counts once, regardless of whether the subscriber accepts an offer.
What happens if I go over my monthly limit?
We'll email you at 80% and 100% of your limit. Once you hit the ceiling, the runtime returns a no-offer response to Apple — subscribers can still cancel, they just won't see a retention offer until the next billing cycle or you upgrade.
Is there a free trial on paid plans?
Yes — Small Team comes with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. You'll have full access to all Small Team features during the trial.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Subscriptions can be cancelled to stop future renewal. Refund requests are handled by Paddle under Paddle's refund policy and applicable consumer law — see our refund policy for details.
Do you store my subscribers' personal data?
No. We SHA-256-hash all Apple transaction identifiers before logging. Raw IDs are only stored encrypted for outcome polling and deleted after the polling window closes. See our Privacy Policy.
